Dr. Bellew earned his Bachelor’s degree from St Francis College and his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed an extensive four year residency in Foot & Ankle Trauma/ Reconstructive surgery at New York Hospital, Queens. In addition to his surgical residency, Dr. Bellew has completed several advanced courses in internal & external fixation, limb deformity correction, foot & ankle arthroscopy; as well as, microsurgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia University Medical Center. He is a member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons as well as American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Bellew specializes in both conservative and surgical treatment of all foot & ankle conditions from the pediatric patient to the elderly. He has expertise and special interest in Foot / Ankle trauma, sports medicine, advanced foot/ankle reconstruction especially Charcot deformities, wound care, limb sparing procedures, revisional surgery, and severe calcaneal fractures.
Dr. Bellew teaches the surgical residents at Saint Clare's Denville Hospital these procedures. He has also lectured to colleagues on these advanced techniques.
