Dr. Neha Atyam was raised in the suburbs of Austin, TX and attended University of Texas at Austin where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She continued her education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she received her degree in Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ and graduated as chief resident. During her time she was trained in diverse cases including trauma, foot and ankle reconstruction, forefoot surgery, wound care, and limb salvage.

She then went on to pursue her fellowship training at South Central Pennsylvania Foot and Ankle Reconstruction program in Lancaster, PA. There she advanced her skills focusing on reconstruction surgery including, sports medicine, ankle ligament and tendon reconstruction, foot and ankle fusions, revisional surgeries, revisional complications, ankle arthroscopies, charcot reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery and decompression. She also focuses on a diverse area of foot and ankle pathologies in conservative treatment perspectives and loves working with a diverse patient population.

She has lectured at many events including Goldfarb Foundation and University of Delaware Sports Medicine Masters Program. She is currently ABFAS board qualified in foot and ankle surgery as well as ABPM board certified in podiatric medicine.

Dr. Atyam was a professional Bharatanatyam dancer, a form of Indian classical dance, for 17 years. Not only has she performed in numerous productions, but also taught dance in the Austin community for 5 years prior to pursuing her career in Podiatry. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, painting, and adding new recipes to her cookbook.
